41 years ago, in a small rec-room in the Bronx New York, Hip-Hop was happening. On August 11,1973, Clive "DJ Kool Herc" Campbell DJed for his sister Cindy's "Back to School Jam" at 1520 Sedgwick Ave., --officially recognized as the "Birthplace of Hip-Hop"-- and sparked a cultural revolution.
"I wrote out the invites on index cards, so all Herc had to do was show up," recalls Cindy Campbell.

Here's to all the Hip-Hop pioneers, past and present, and all the Hip-Hoppers worldwide for 41 great years. Rock on!
